摘要
女性获得解放来自政府政策的支持与自身对其生育行为的控制,接受更多教育是女性获得权力的有效途径。传统的权力部门是企业和政府部门,通过研究女性高管和女性政府官员,本文对男女在权力部门中的性别差异进行了梳理。研究发现:在企业中,女性能进入企业高管的比例远低于男性,但现存企业女性高管比例和企业价值正相关;女性高管在企业决策方面也和男性存在着显著的不同;而女性政府官员则对于腐败的容忍度更低。
Women are increasingly emancipated due to policy support from the government and self-imposed birth control. More and better education is an effective way of their empowerment. Power is traditionally concentrated within businesses and government. Hence, this essay is a re- view of literature about gender differences in those power sectors. It finds that, 1) the chance of women being admitted to senior executive jobs in businesses is far slimmer compared with men, although the number of women holding existing executive positions is directly proportional to the value held by a business; 2) there is a marked difference between women executives' decisions and men's and; 3) female government officials are far less tolerant of corruption than male ones.
