Upgrade of Database and Server Operating system

目的:提高信息系统的运行速度和效率,缓解日益增加的信息子系统及并发应用对操作系统及数据库的压力。方法:将医院HIS原有32位Windows Server 2003服务器升级到64位Windows Server 2003,Oracle9数据库升级到Oracle10g数据库。结果:此次成功升级,解决了高峰时期资源争用的情况,客户端应用程序的响应速度得到显著提高。结论:基于64位Windows平台,将数据库从Oracle9升级为64位Oracle10g,是一个利用较少投入使硬软件发挥到最高效率的好办法。

Objective To improve the speed and efficiency of intormation systems and relieve the pressure of the operating system and database posed by the information subsystem and eoneun＇ent application. Methods The original 32-bit Windows server 2003 of hospital information system was upgraded to 64-bit Windows server 2003. and Oracle9 database was upgraded to Oraale 10g database. Results The resouree contention at apex time was eliminated by the upgrade, and the response speed of the client application was also enhanced greatly. Conclusion The upgrade of the database from Oracle9 to 64-bit Oracle10 makes the maximized use of the hardware and software with the minimized cost.
