Influence of polarization of Internet nationalism on construction path of China's national image: an empirical analysis of the "Event of Diaoyu Islands"

中国的网络民族主义在"冲突情境"下通常呈现出极化态势。"钓鱼岛事件"的发生引爆了国人的极端民族情绪。由于民众、媒体等多方博弈的均衡使得网络民族主义极化有了适合的场域,并由此演化成非理性的心理,尤其从认知、情感和价值观上深刻解构着国家形象的良性发展。

Internet nationalism in China usually takes a polarized tendency in case of conflicts.The ＂Event of Diaoyu Islands＂has aroused Chinese people＇s indignation to the extreme.The dynamic game equilibrium among the mass media and the public provides the polarization of Internet nationalism with an appropriate field.However,the evolvement of irrationality has side effects on building up a positive national image,especially in the aspects of cognition,emotion and values.
