Mr. Mo Lifeng＇ s A Critical Biography of Du Fu is among the series of The Critical Biographies of Chinese Thinkers. Based on the heritage of predecessors, the book makes its own progress on the theme of ＂thought＂ and sticks to it throughout the book. A close reading of the book will reveal the author＇ s unique points in his concern o- ver the link between Du Fu and the traditional culture, his interpretation of Du ＇ s poems and his criticism of histori- cal figures.
