摘要
本研究回顾了隐喻能力及写作研究的现状和趋势后,测试了英语专业大三学习者隐喻能力与写作水平(具体指标包括内容、结构、词汇和语言)之间的关系,量性分析显示二者呈显著正相关关系。隐喻能力具体与写作中单项指标内容、结构和词汇呈相关关系,与语言不相关。这种内在复杂关系的数据解读能为高级英语写作教学提供更规范、更科学的努力方向。
After a thorough review of researches of metaphorical competence and second language writing, the present research targets at Juniors of English majors and tests the correlation between metaphorical competence and writing skills (including content, organization, vocabulary and language). Metaphorical competence is found to have a positive significant correlation with writing performance and its each disparate part except for language. Hopefully, the statistic exploration might guide the teaching of advanced writing in a specific and scientific direction.
