This paper discussed the relations between the network and agricultural development in west China, and the present situation and problems in development of agricultural information network. At the same time, the author proposed the development objective of the west China′s agricultural scien tech information network and six strategies. Finally, some key development realms are proposed including the network system engineering and database construction engineering, the agricultural information monitoring and rapid forecasting system, the computer intelligent agricultural expert system, one base and one system.
