摘要
To the editor: Abdominal hernias are relatively common in patients on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis(CAPD), with a prevalence of 4%-14%.1,2 Failure to detect an occult contralateral hernia (OCH) may lead to the requirement of a second surgery repair and severe complications, such as dialysis inadequacy and strangulation of the herniated loop of intestine. Here we report a case on CAPl) whose bilateral inguinal hernia was missed by routine examinations, but later correctly diagnosed by CT peritoneography (CTP).
