In the present paper, improvement of the DNA extraction from dry soybean seed, comparison between the silver staining and isotope labeling methods, and exploration of the endoenzyme and primer combinations suitable for AFLP analysis in soybeans were presented. Based on this, a simple and fast procedure suitable for soybean AFLP analysis was established,and the representative accessions of G.soja and G.max from various ecological areas in China were examined by using the suggested procedure.
