The all-optical network which is an inevitable trend in the development of information is elaborated, The composition, structure, superiority of the all-optical network, problems in 100Gbit/s, security risks and protective measures in discussion are introduced in this paper, so as to provide the general characteristics of the all-optical network for readers in certain level.
