当前对"文学边缘化"的使用存在着含混之处,这种含混表现为概念自身的复杂性。使用者在运用"文学边缘化"的时候往往忽视了"文学"、"边缘"、"化"这些词语本身所蕴含的丰富内涵,对其归因往往以偏概全,并归结为大众媒介和市场经济给人们所带来的物质欲望的膨胀而忽视作者及其他因素的参与;"文学边缘化"作为一个与历史相关的概念,研究者将其纳入到历史视野中考察的时候,往往只从文学期刊的销量等表面因素去打量,却忽视了"文学"、"边缘化"本身所具有的历史复杂性。"文学边缘化"存在着含混之处,是文学本身的复杂性所致,更是使用者的含混态度所致。

Ambiguity exists in the application of the concept of marginalization of literature. The complexity of the concept leads to the negligence of the profound connotations of its components like ＂literature＂, ＂margin＂, and ＂marginalization＂. Most of us attribute the marginalization of literature to the inflation of our material desires brought upon by mass media and market economy, and fail to take into consideration the roles played by the authors and other elements. On the other hand, as a concept related to history, we ignore the historical complexity of ＂literature＂ and ＂marginalization＂ and study the concept from sales volume of the literary magazines and periodicals from a historical perspective. The ambiguity of marginalization of literature results from the complexity of literature and the ambiguous attitude of the users of the concept.
