Space and Gender in the Context of Contemporary Philosophy

20世纪以来,空间问题显示出不同的意义,它已经超越传统哲学、形而上学和认识论的疆域,成为被多个学科关注的一个热点话题。在当代哲学语境下,大体上对空间有三种新的诠释:一是列斐伏尔等人对于空间的政治经济学分析,二是以福柯为代表的对于空间与权力关系的考察,还有一种便是当代女性主义哲学家对于空间与性别关系的解说。这三种空间观不仅有助于重新认识空间问题,也对于社会实践与文化变革具有深远的意义。

Since the 20th century, the issue of space provides different meanings. Not only has it gone beyond the boundaries of traditional philosophy, metaphysics and epistemology, but has become a hot topic of concern within many disciplines. In the contemporary philosophical context in general, there are three new in- terpretations of space： the first is from Henri Lefebvre who discusses space in Political Economy and the sec- ond is addressed by Foucault, who regarded space as the representative of the political structure shaped by power relations. The third comes from the contemporary feminist philosolahers who explore the relationship be- tween space and gender. These three spatial views not only contribute to the wider understanding of the issue of space, but have far-reaching implications for social practice and cultural reform.
