摘要
前导1判断模块是浮点加法运算中不可缺少的部分,在实现的方式上有等待运算结果产生后进行判断和在运算结果产生之前就进行预测两种方式。后一种方式被广泛应用,相应的电路叫前导1预判电路。本文在已有的前导1预判电路的基础上提出了改进,将单通道运算变为双通道运算,可以提高运算速度。
The leading-one prediction is one part of the floating point adder. There are two methods to realize it .One method is based on leading-one judge and the other method is based on leading-one prediction. This paper puts forward a new design based on the typical leading-one prediction algorithm. For some operators the typical path is not necessary, the position of the leading-one can be judged directly by judging the operators. In this case, we can predict the position of the leading-one by two paths. For most of the operators, the speed of the operation can be accelerated and the power consumption can be lower.
