the Bank of Taiwan-Canton Branches provided finance and gave support to the Japanese trading firms in Canton.So they propped up Japanese merchants' commerce in Canton and landed a great loan to the Canton local government,which made their extension very quickly.And then in the war time,the bank of China had involved in controlling the finance of the occupied area of Canton.After Japan's surrender,the Bank of Taiwan—Canton Branches had been taken over by the Chinese government and they ended its colonial history in Canton for about half a century.
