Six Key Points in Appreciating Zisha Teapots: Aesthetics and Appreciations

紫砂壶虽为茗具,却由于中国古代文人审美观念对其的深远而持续的影响,使其俨然具备了很高的艺术价值,紫砂壶已从传统意义上的造物工艺迈向了精英式艺术的行列,对其的审美赏鉴自然也不同于一般的工艺器物的评判标准。本文从六个方面对紫砂壶的品评作出了较为系统的尝试。

Although Zisha teapot is classified under the tea-things, it is obviously of high artistic value because of the deep and far-reaching influences exerted by the aesthetic perceptions of the Chinese ancient literati. Given Zisha teapot has advanced to the very elite art from traditional craftsmanship, therefore, the criteria of appreciating Zisha teapot naturally differ with that of ordinary artworks. This article attempts to carry out systematic appreciations of Zisha teapot from six aspects.
