The authors expounded the principles of TEANA＇s engine, intelligent power distribution module （IPDM E/R） and CAN bus, and introduced a diagnosis process of Nissan TEANA 230JK with irregular weak acceleration and occasional stalling. The trouble is not eliminated completely after the ECM relay is changed which was found to be broken. It is pointed out that the ECM relay interrupt of power supply occasionally is caused by the bad contact of the intelligent power distribution module. After repairing the engine, the car can start normally.
