贺绿汀是中国近现代音乐史上一位重要的作曲家,与我国同时期的其他音乐家相比,其音乐创作最大的特点是数量众多,体裁、题材多样。擅长把中国的民族民间音乐素材与中西方的作曲技法融会贯通、兼收并蓄,形成了自己所特有的田园牧歌式的音乐风格;其音乐创作的另一特点是具有强烈的时代感,特别是反映抗日战争的作品,利用多种音乐体裁树立了准确、鲜明的音乐形象,对那一段特殊的历史进行了真实的记述。他在钢琴音乐、电影音乐、艺术歌曲、器乐音乐等创作领域率先发声,起到了开拓性的作用,对同期和后来的作曲家影响深远,为我国新时期的音乐创作做出了突出贡献。

He Luting is an important composer in recent and modern Chinese music history~ Compared with other musicians at the same time, the most major characteristic of his music composition is that he has large numbers of musical works, varied styles and themes. He is good at digesting and absorbing the Chinese national style and techniques of composition in China-West, he forms his own idyllic music style. One other aspect of his music composition is that works have strong sensation of the times, particularly on Anti-Japanese War works.In those works, he builds up accurate and vivid images through the use of various nmsical genres, he has described truly the special stage in history. He creat works earlier in various fields including piano musics, film musics, art songs, instrumental musics and so on. He plays a pioneering role and creats the t＇ar-reaching impacts on the same period and filture composers. He has made outstanding contribution to nmsical creations in the new period of China.
