A Comparative Study of Travelling Poetry in the Tang and Song Dynasties

唐宋两个朝代的山水旅游诗是我国古代山水诗并峙的两座艺术高峰,宋诗虽在唐诗基础上发展起来,但唐代旅游诗中的边塞诗气象更为大气磅礴、题材更加丰富,在审美上唐代旅游诗更具壮丽之美,而宋代旅游诗则有小巧之美。两个朝代旅游诗风格的差异主要源于两个朝代的综合国力、政治经济、内政外交、意识形态、社会风尚的迥异。

Scenery and travelling poems of the Tang and Song Dynasties reached the artistic peak in ancient Chinese poetry cre- ation. Song poems were developed on the basis of Tang＇s. However, considering the frontier- style travelling poems, Tang po- ems were better than Song poems. Actually, Tang poems were grander in atmosphere and richer in subjects. Aesthetically, trav- elling poems of the Tang Dynasty appeared magnificent while those of the Song, delicate. The remarkable style differences in travelling poems owed much to the differences between the two dynasties in comprehensive national strength, politics and econo- my, internal affairs and foreign relations, ideology and social customs.
