The Inheritance and Development of Yunnan Ethnic Religious Culture

云南少数民族宗教文化的发展,不仅面临着现代化、全球化、世俗化的整体挑战,也面临着基督宗教"后来居上"的挑战。前者使少数民族宗教的信仰环境发生重大变化,后者使少数民族宗教的信仰生态产生危机。应进一步加强对少数民族宗教的管理和引导,提升云南少数民族宗教的自身文明素质和信仰素质,发挥少数民族宗教的现代功能,建立少数民族宗教作为社会性和精神性资源推动民族社会发展的长效机制。

The development of Yunnan ethnic religious culture is faced with the challenge of modernization, globalization and secularization, as well as that of the Christianity, a latecomer which seems to surpass the vernacular religions. The first challenge is changing the environment for ethnic religion while the later causes crisis of ethnic religious ecology. We should further strengthen the management and guidance of ethnic religions, enhance the ethical quality of Yunnan ethnic religions so that they can play well the modern function, and establish the mechanism in which ethnic religions become the social and spiritual re- sources along the way to ethnic social development.
