Since the mid-20th century, there has been fundamental changes to the significance of fiction. These changes are closely related to the transformation of philosophy in the information age,for the identification of fiction is not only based on the proper text but also bound up with the intentionality of audience.Fiction thus is no longer sharply opposed to reality, but has become a way to convey reality, having been widely applied to non-fictions such as history, anthropology, philosophy and ethics. This article studies the transformation of the significance of fiction in contemporary cultural context and expounds how fiction manifests contemporary poetics and cultural logic.
