中国与中亚区域经济合作——多边合作还是双边推进?

On the Regional Economic Cooperation between China and Central Asia—a Multilateral Cooperation or a Bilateral Push?

在推进中国与中亚区域经济合作不断深入背景下,中国应以多边合作还是双边推进为主?这是亟须解决的一个重大战略问题。利用面板变系数模型实证检验多边合作和双边推进的可行性,研究中发现,中亚五国目前对中国的核心经济变量反应差异较大,当前阶段以双边推进为主要形式比多边合作的努力可能更有效率,效果更好。

Should China give priority to promoting a bilateral or a multilateral cooperation under the background of boosting regional economic cooperation between China and Central Asian counties？ This paper tested the feasibility of a multilateral cooperation and a bilateral push with Varying-coefficient models （VCM） of panel data. it concluded that the five Central Asian countries reacted quite differently to China＇s core, economic variables and at the present promoting a bilateral push as the main form should be more efficient and effective than a multilateral cooperation.
