本文对中国现在的智能交通系统(ITS)进行了整体分析,与美国、日本和欧洲等地的ITS发展进行了对比分析,并且以此为参照得出中国ITS的未来发展趋势及其前景。介绍了国家智能交通对国家经济的重要影响,及其对国家现有交通问题、环境保护问题的看法和解决之道。指出发达国家与发展中国家在交通领域应将其看做解决能源和环境问题的可选项,ITS的发展应注重实际,以现有科学技术为前提,注重信息技术应用到智能交通系统中的方法和手段。并且表示未来的ITS应以城市为基点,实现集成系统的中央控制体系。
