前期朱光潜美学,主张美乃主体性的投射(projection of the subjectivity),无疑属于主体性哲学范畴,主体性立场导致了朱光潜对自然美的否定性主张。康德认为自然美更能令人引发关于自由的类比,故优于艺术美。朱光潜忽略了康德的伦理学目的论,对审美进行严格区分,固执的前见导致了他对康德"自然美"观念更深的误读。
Early in his aesthetics, Zhu Guangqian holds the view that beauty is the projection of the subjectivity, a view that undoubtedly belongs to the realm of subjective philosophy. But this subjective position leads to Zhu's negative assertion regarding natural beauty. Kant thinks that natural beauty is superior to artistic beauty in that the former can better call forth a- nalogies with freedom. Zhu loses sight of the teleology of Kant's ethics in making strict distinctions between various beauties. It is his rigid preconceptions that lead him to misinterpret Kant's concept of "natural beauty",
