The realization of the distribution management information system based on the GIS technology is introduced.The system has Client/Server s ystem structure and supports varied input modes of the geographic information da ta.The system consists of several functional modules such as the one for curren t account for equipmment, the one for distribution load and the one for distribu tion engineering. The system with the data base design technology and GIS applic ation technology realized the man agement on the distribution current account line and the display of the equipmen t graph and GIS background geographic graph and conducting the two way display, search on space information and conducting the data analysis,statistics and pro ducting the report output etc fuctions.
