Doris Lessing creates three different characters（Tom, Stanley and Harry） in his short storyA Woman an a Roof. This paper attempts to analyze the actions and psycho of these three characters by using Freudian theory. From the microcosmic perspective, the novel elaborates the Freudian theory.
