The role taken by gantry crane in handling operation is more and more important, while the lifting weight limiter is a protecting device of it, which could not be short of. Neccesity of installing lifting weight limiter on gantry crane is stated. Working principle of this limiter is analyzed. Function and usage characteristics of the limiters are introduced, Also the typical example of it and its development are introduced, which could be referenced.
