The Application of Functional Translation Theory in Business English Translation

功能翻译理论的核心思想包括文化转化和交际互动两个层次的涵义。结合商务英语翻译在词汇、句式和篇章等方面的具体要求,分析将功能翻译理论应用于商务英语翻译的理论基础;从翻译的目的性、准确性、真实性和与原文的贴切性四个方面论述了功能翻译理论在商务英语翻译中的实践方法。

In order to meet the application requirements of business translation, this paper suggested using functional translation theory to guide business English translation practice. It first studied the concept, characteristics, and development process of functional translation theory in - depth. Then from the aspects of cultural transformation and communicative interactive, it illustrated the core idea of functional translation theory. Combined with the vocabulary, sentences and chapters characteristics in business English translation, it analyzed the theoretical basis in functional translation theory application. Finally, from translation purpose, accuracy, authenticity, and relevance of the origi nal, it discussed some practical ways to apply functional translation theory to business English translation.
