Compared with the gravity retaining wall, the retaining wall structure presented in the paper can save 42.8 per cent of the cost; and compared with the counterfort retaining wall, it can save 22.5 per cent of the cost; and it has following advantages; reasonable in bearing quality, convenient in assembling, shortening construction period, beautiful in appearance etc. It can adapt to small and medium sized irrigation and drainage engineerings generally.
