To the editor: Since the outbreak of pandemic influenza A (H IN l) virus from the spring of 2009, there is little information aboutthe complete picture of pregnancy and newborn outcomes in the literature1,2 We followed up a case of a pregnant woman with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) secondary to 2009 H INI influenza A, who had extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) as a rescue therapy for reversible refractory hypoxemia.
