The structure of common vacuum cup lifter was introduced at first. For the demand of lifting the spherical work- pieces with different radius of curvature through the same vacuum cup lifter, a swing-type vacuum cup based on ball head sealing structure was designed. The structure and working principle of the multi-purpose vacuum cup lifter was introduced, and the calculation method of vacuum suction force and the selection of key parameters were also provided.
