夏志清和陈思和视野下的《骆驼祥子》

On "Camel Xiangzi" from the Perspectives of Xia Zhiqing and Chen Sihe

夏志清在《中国现代小说史》里和陈思和在《民间视角下的启蒙悲剧》里对《骆驼祥子》的解读既有相同之处,又有不同的地方。他们都谈到了祥子有一种认命思想,从最开始的奋斗到后来的挣扎直至最后的屈从,就体现了这一点。不同的是,夏志清从祥子的悲剧中提出了大环境的影响,陈思和则提出了社会和人力车夫地位低的原因。针对他们的这一见解和分歧,本文从《骆驼祥子》的艺术成就和祥子的悲剧原因两个方面进行探讨。

There are similarities and differences about the interpretation of the novel ＂ Camel Xiangzi＂ in ＂the History of Chinese Modem No- vels＂ by Xia Zhiqing and ＂the Enlightening Tragedy from the Perspective of Folklore＂ by Chen Sihe. Both hold that the hero Xiangzi resigns him- self to destiny from his original strive, struggle to his final submission. What is different is that Xia puts an emphasis on the influence of big envi- ronment in the hero＇s tragedy while Chen focuses on the reasons why the cart drivers＇ social status is quite low then, based on which, the paper discusses the two aspects： the art achievement of ＂ Camel Xiangzi＂ and the reasons for the hero＇ s tragedy.
