Studies on the skull of Squaliobarbus curroclus (Richardson)

本文研究了赤眼鳟的颅骨形态结构,确认其眶上骨与第五眶下骨紧密接触,有别于雅罗鱼亚科的其它鱼类。

The present paper deals with the investigation of the skull of Squaliobarbus curriculus, a common fish of Leuciscinae in China. It has been observed that supraorbital cantact with 5th infraorbital closely. To distiguish the Leuciscinae from Denioninae the one of two main feathers is the separation of two above-mentioned bones on the skull. There is a need for the approaching to the phylogenetic position of Squaliobarbus curriculus.
