摘要
现代隐喻认为隐喻不仅是一种语言现象、修辞方法,它更是一种认知现象,一种思维方式。本文通过对概念隐喻的定义、分类等探讨,将概念隐喻理论运用到英语词汇教学、文化教学之中,培养学生的隐喻意识和提高学生的隐喻能力。
Contemporary metaphoric study considers metaphor not only a sort of language phenomenon,a figure of speech,but one type of cognitive phenomenon,a kind of mode of thinking.Based on the discussion towards the definition,classification of conceptual metaphor,applied it into English vocabulary and cultural teaching,cultivating students'metaphorical thinking ability.
