绰号在乡村社会中作为一种亚文化具有浓厚的乡土文化气息,既具有丰富的文化内涵和乡村地域情调,也是人们透视和了解乡村社会生活面貌的窗口。首先,乡村社会作为一个熟人社区,人们彼此熟悉了解,根据人们的外貌、生活习惯、性格品行、职业等特征产生了不同类别的绰号,具有鲜明的代表性和表现力。其次,由于乡村社会特有的本土文化特征,绰号以贬义居多并集中分布在中老年男性人群。另外,作为乡村社会中的一种亚文化,对于具有维系乡村熟人社会、提供道德约束、反映社会变迁等具有较为鲜明和突出的功能。

Nickname in rural society, as a kind of subculture, is a typical feature of countryside culture, not only with rich cultural connotation and regional rural emotional appeal, but also as a window on rural social life. First, rural society being an acquaintance community, people there are familiar with each other, giving different categories of nickname, with typical and expressive force, according to people＇s appearance, habits, traits of character, occupation, and so on. Second, due to the rural society＇s unique local cultural characteristics, the majority of nicknames have derogatory connotation and are mainly applied to the middle-aged and old male population. In addition, as a kind of subculture, nicknames have relatively brilliant and outstanding function in sustaining rural acquaintance society, providing moral constraints, and reflecting social changes.
