A Study of a Protected Mode of Historical Building the old house restaurant:Taking Kunming as a Case

中国传统历史建筑具有惯于将建筑的实用功能、外观形式和它的社会功能联系到一起的特点。老房子餐厅通过发挥历史建筑的实用功能,为当代人感受和体悟历史建筑文化审美提供了一种最自然的方式。如果管理和引导得当,老房子餐厅会成为一种多赢的历史建筑保护模式。从这两个角度看,将部分历史建筑改造成老房子餐厅并不失为一种适合现代社会发展要求的建筑保护机制。

The Chinese traditional historical building has used to be connected the social function of building with its practical function and external form. By developing practical function of historical build- ing, the old house restaurant provides a most natural structure style for modern people to realize architec- tural culture aesthetic. As a protected mode to historical building, the old house restaurant would be a kind of win-win relationship, if properly managed and guided. From these two points of view, it would be a proper mechanism for protecting old buildings in modern society to transform some part of historical buildings into old house restaurants.
