摘要
中国古代文论术语的象喻性和译本本身所表征的特定文化诗学意义,使得《文心雕龙》四个英译本需要一个包容更多文化因子的比较模式。阐释学比较模式,通过对文化的聚焦,对译者文化立场和文化角色的确定,使译者策略背后的文化因子得到更强有力的解释。该文进一步对四位译者"风"、"骨"单字和含术语双字的文化传译策略进行对比分析,从归化与异化、统一与多变、再生与变异三个方面证明阐释比较模式是适用于该译本比较的理想模式,从而对其他含术语古籍的英译比较研究也有借鉴意义。
The imaginal nature of the criticism terms of the ancient Chinese literature and the specific significance of cultural poetics represented by the four versions of Wenxindiaolong make it necessary for the comparative study of the four English versions to include more cultural factors of the versions them- mode can focus on these cultural factors and further locate the translators or interpreters' cultural roles based on their cultural standpoints. In this thesis through textual analysis, a comparative study is made of the four translators' cultural strategies of translating the two single terms of literary criticism "Feng" and "Gu" (wind and bone) and all the double characters including either of the two terms in the three follow- ing aspects like foreignizing plus domesticating, unification versus changes, and the rebirth through varia- tions in translation, thus proving that the comparative mode should be an ideal one to study these English versions, and meanwhile providing a certain enlightenment for the comparative study of the English ver- sions of other Chinese classics.
