In this paper, the author analysizes the questions appearing in the process of using the digital TV CAS system, such as the TV can still play wthout inserting a card or having a permission, and the TV displays E15 in the process of receiveing. We carry on the backward induction according to the fault phenomenon, analyze the origins of the fault location and reasons, thus we can quickly solve the problem, then test and verify according to the operation order of the system, it is an effective method. This method is simple and feasible, and also can reduce the maintenance cost and improve the efficiency of maintenance.
