叶名琛“遗诗”考辨

The Textual Research of Ye Ming-chen’s Posthumous Poems

有学者认为:叶名琛死前留下两首"遗诗",自比向戎、苏武,表明他被俘时忍辱不死为的是面见英国国王当面交涉,后见目的不能达到便绝食而亡。其实,这两首诗是由许其光原作改篡而成,叶名琛是病死。许其光的原作对其颇有讥讽之意。

It is generally acknowledged that Ye Ming - chen left the two posthumous poems before he died and he com- pared himself to Xiang Rong and Su Wu. It indicated that he swallowed the insults and rejected to commit suicide after he was captured in order that he wanted to meet the British King and negotiate with her. Then, when he failed, he killed himself by fast. However, Ye Ming-chen＇ s posthumous poems were tampered from Xu Qi -guang＇ s poems in fact. Ye Ming- chen died of the disease. Xu Qi - guang＇ s poems was a satire on Ye Ming -chen.
