Wuyi Elements in the Chinese American Literature

美国华裔文学作家中存在着一个五邑籍华裔作家群落。他们在作品中记载了先辈们关于五邑侨乡的历史故事、民俗习惯、趣闻轶事、移民经历、在他乡的生存境遇等,体现出诸多五邑元素,可以说五邑历史文化与他们的作品彼此呈现出一种见证与互文的关系。

Among Chinese American literary writers,there exist a cohort of writers of Wuyi roots.Their works document the historical stories,folk customs,anecdotes and migration experiences of their ancestors and their own living conditions in the US.Through these Wuyi elements,the history and culture of Wuyi and their works constitute an inter-witness and intertextuality relationship.
