张彭春留学美国期间,认真学习西方戏剧和导演理论,第一个把西方现代导演理念和导演方法引入中国,把多部世界名著搬上戏剧舞台,赢得国内广泛的赞誉。他在话剧导演活动中体现了鲜明的现代意识。

While studying in the US, Zhang Pengchun thoroughly studied western drama and directing theories and became the first to introduce modem western directing concepts and methods to China. He put many world-famous literary works on the stage and was highly praised at home and abroad. His activities as a play director embodied sharp modem consciousness.
