摘要
空间介词AT的语义复杂多样,既有空间概念义,又有非空间概念义。用ESM认知模式梳理和解释介词AT的复杂语义网络的基本构架体系,发现:1)空间介词AT的复杂语义网络遵循ESM的认知模式,即从体验到图式再到隐喻性表达;2)人的体验参与性与主观能动性在构建介词AT的基本空间点概念义中起着主导性的作用;3)由空间点概念抽象化形成的四类认知图式有主次之分,对介词AT来说,主要体现为点与体的容器图式;4)介词AT的语义通过隐喻化由空间域向其他认知域不断扩展,但主要是向时间域、动作域、数量域、抽象空间域、状态域拓展,而且在各个认知域都突显其点概念的语义。
Spatial preposition AT displays a multitude of semantic meanings both in space domain and in non-space domains. This paper is aimed at scrutinizing AT＇ s major meanings and providing uni- form explanations for its semantic network. It is discovered that 1 ） the construction of AT＇ s semantic network conforms to the ESM pattern, that is, from embodiment to schema and then to metaphor; 2） human beings＇ active embodiment and subjectivity take the leading role in structuring AT＇ s primary meaning as ＂point＂ in space; 3 ） conceptual schematization helps form four major schemas, among which the point-volume container schema instantiates; 4） AT＇ s spatial meaning is mapped metaphori- cally to other abstract CDs （cognitive domains） , mainly including CDs for time, for action, for num- ber, for abstract space and for state, with the conception of ＂point＂ as the salience.
