湘西天王庙考探

A Review of the Tian Wang Temple in the West of Hunan Province in Qing Dynasty

文章通过清本(乾隆本、道光本、光绪本)《凤凰厅志》、《湖南通志》、清史稿及各地方志等相关史料对湘西天王庙进行考证。分三个层次:首先,通过相关史料对天王庙在湘西的分布情况进行考探。其次,对天王进行源流考。最后,指出天王庙在湘西民俗方面的特殊作用。如天王庙对湘西赶秋、野祭、五月祭鬼静声的影响以及对民众的教化作用。

This paper reviews the Tian Wang temple in the west of Hunan province, according to the historical materials of the ＇Feng Hu- ang Ting Zhi＇ and ＇Hunan Tong Zhi＇ of Qing Dynasty edition （Qianlong edition, Daoguang edition and Guangxu edition）, Qing historical data and historical materials in many regions of China. The paper study the Tian Wang temple through three arrangements： firstly, the distribution of Tian Wang temples in the west of Hunan province was studied by related historical materials. Secondly, we studied the origin of the Tian Wang temple. People have different ideas about the origin of Tian Wang. In here, we displayed and analyzed several statements. Then we got our own opinions. Lastly, we displayed the special effect of Tian Wang temple to the folk-custom in the west of Hunan province, such as the effect of Tian Wang to Gan Qiu, Wild Sacrifice and sacrifice for ghost and the moralization effect of Tian Wang temple to the people in the west of Hunan province.
