股份制通常被认为是资本主义社会的产物 ,事实上 ,股份制早期或原始的形态远在两千多年前的古罗马时代就出现了 ,只是由于经济和社会的原因没有得到充分发展。到了资本主义社会 ,由于市场经济的发展与完善 ,股份制经济才得以蓬勃发展。股份制经济曾经并仍在推动着资本主义社会的发展。马克思指出 :建立股份制并非要强化原来的私有制 ,而是要在共同占有的基础上 ,建立起合作的或公有的所有制。可以说 ,股份制既是沟通资本主义与社会主义的纽带 ,又是促使资本主义走向社会主义的桥梁。

Joint stock institution is commonly to be thought the product of the captialism.In fact,it had been arisen at the old Rome Ages 2000 years ago,but it was not enough developed for the economy and the society,and the capitalism saw a boost in the joint stock economy as the market economy developed and perfected,joint stock economy has been and is now boosting the development of the capitalism.Marx point out to set up the joint stock economy is not to emphasize the privative ownership earlier?But to set up the cooperative or public ownership at the basis of common appropriation.So we can say,joint stock institution not only is the connection of the capitalism and the socialism but also is the bridge which to promote the capitalism go to the socialism.
