Fiber reinforced polymer （FRP） is a new material applied in reinforcement area of civil engineering in recent years and the structure reinforcemenet technology of FRP is widely used in the field of civil engineering. The paper expounds the types of the common FRP material and physical properties in reinforcement area of civil engineering, analyzes the advan- tages and disadvantages of the relevant reinforcemenet technology and introduces the application and the developmental situation ofFRP structurc and FRP reinforcement technology at home and abroad.
