Analysis of whole English presentation for surgery course and its reflection

摘要 目的了解某军医大学外科学全英文教学效果。方法对29名八年制临床医学专业学员,采取课后问卷调查的方式进行研究。采用x^2和非参数秩和检验,分析学员英语水平,教员教学水平、出国经历和职称与学员理解程度的关系。结果出国时间长者和获得精品课教员称号者授课情况下,学员的理解程度高(P=0.00);学员英语水平越好,对授课的理解程度越高(P=0.00);教员的职称对学员理解程度无影响(P=0.10)。结论全英文教学效果与教员英语水平、教学水平以及学员英语水平密切相关。 Objective To check the teaching effect of whole English presentation for surgery course. Methods Totally 29 eight-year program clinical majors were enrolled in the study. Question- naire after class was conducted. Relationship between understanding level and English ability of students, abroad experiences, presentation ability or technical title of teachers was analyzed by x-test and nonparametric test. Results It showed that the understanding level of students was higher when being taught by teachers with longer abroad experience or with quality course (P = 0.00). Understand- ing level of students was higher when students had higher English ability (P = 0.00). There was no ob- vious relationships between understanding level and technical title of teachers ( P = 0.10). Conclu- sions Teaching effect of whole English presentation is closely correlated with teachers' teaching ability and students' English ability.
