Transformation and Reflection of Chinese Ethnic Policy and Theory——A Preliminary Investigation of the Contemporary Ethnic Studies in China with Some Thoughts

新中国民族政策与理论体系建构已经历了半个多世纪的发展过程,在不同的历史条件和社会背景下其内容和形式不断演变,近几年,对中国民族政策与理论的反思不断增多,出现了多元政策与理论主张及争论,政府、学界对现有的民族政策与理论的合理性、有效性和实践性进行了广泛而深入的探究。本文对中国当代民族政策与民族理论的形成条件及趋势进行了分析。

The construction of ethnic policy and theory of New China has gone through over 50 years with constant changes in terms of content and form in different historical periods and under different social backgrounds.In recent years,with the rapid social changes of ethnic regions,in transformation and reflection,the Chinese ethnic policy and theory has developed diverse models and aroused discourse debates.Studies on rationality,effectiveness and practice of ethnic policy and theory have been made by the governments,academic circles and the public.This paper has made a preliminary survey of the contemporary ethnic studies in China and elaborated some personal thoughts about this field.
