摘要
20世纪60年代卡特福德根据系统语法首次提出"翻译转换"这一概念,并将其分为层次转换与范畴转换。文章以范畴转换中的结构转换为研究视角,以英汉形态结构差异为研究对象,从语态转换、人称主语与非人称主语转换、肯定与否定结构的转换三方面具体分析,探讨相应的翻译补偿策略及其与翻译转换的相关性。
The concept of "Translation Shifts" was first put forward by Catford in 1960s. In the theory,translation shifts are categorized into two major types, i. e. level shifts and category shifts. This article, with examples of differences of English and Chinese morphologies, attempts to analyze the compensation strategies and its relationship with translation shifts from the perspective of structure shifts, one type of category shifts. The three aspects of structure shifts--the voice shifts, negative - af- firmative shifts, animate subjects and non- animate subjects shifts are analyzed specially.
