A Study on the Influence of Semantic Analysis and Context on English Idioms

英语习语的学习是英语学习中重要的一部分,能否正确理解、掌握习语也成为检测英语学习者学习成绩的一项标准。本研究试图调查语义分析和语境是否对英语学习者理解、掌握习语有影响,即通过分析习语字面意思对习语的掌握的影响和语境对习语理解的影响来对学习者进行调查,以及习语透明度和语境的共同作用是否加强了习语的学习。

English idiom is one of the most important parts of English learning, and it also becomes one criterion for examining the English learner＇s language level. This research tried to find if there any relation between semantic analysis, context analysis and idiom under- standing. And whether the interaction of semantic and context analysis can facilitate the idiom undemtanding. The semantic analysis is literal meaning analysis.
