方克立先生首倡的"马魂、中体、西用"论是马克思主义综合创新文化观的第三个发展阶段,从多个方面实现了对综合创新文化观的发展和深化。它准确界定了马克思主义、中国传统文化和西方文化在中国特色社会主义文化中的地位和相互关系,体现了当代中国文化之主导性、主体性和开放性的高度统一。它以"魂、体、用"三元模式超越了传统的"体用"二元模式,是哲学思维范式的一个重大创新。它以富有时代精神和民族特色的方式,指出了一条坚持马克思主义的指导思想地位、坚持民族文化的主体性和坚持对外开放的方针相结合的中国文化的综合创新之路,完全契合我们党的文化建设指导方针。

The theory of ＂Marxism as spirit, Chinese Learning as subject , Western Learn- ing as usage＂ initiated by Mr. Fang Keli is the third stage of the cultural outlook on Maxist comprehensive-creation. It develops and deepens the cultural outlook on Maxist comprehen- sive-creation in many respects. It also delimitates accurately the status and relationship of Marxism, the traditional Chinese culture and the western culture in the socialist culture with Chinese characteristics. It reflects the high integration of predominance, subjectivity and openness of contemporary Chinese culture. It replaces the traditional ＂subject-usage＂ dual pattern with ＂spirit-subject-usage＂ ternary pattern, puts forward the great innovation of the pattern of philosophical thinking. It shows the way how to persist the leading role of Marxism, the subjectivity of the Chinese culture and the Openness of foreign culture with the spirit of the age and national characteristics, which completely agrees with the guide- lines of the cultural construction of the Communist Party of China.
