摘要
与工资差异均值分解的奠基性方法Oaxaca-Blinder分解相比,Brown分解方法关联和协整了职业分隔与同工不同酬,但同时也引发又一个"指数基准问题";它与Oaxaca-Blinder分解原有的指数基准问题一起,共同构成工资差异均值分解的双重指数基准问题。本文在修正Appleton(1999)和Neumark(1988)分析思路的基础上,重新构建无歧视职业(获得)结构和无歧视工资结构,进而矫正双重指数基准,改进Brown分解,更准确地刻画和计量职业分隔背景下的歧视。
Compared with the foundational Oaxaca-Blinder method used in wage differential decomposition, Brown method integrates occupational segregation into "unequal pay for equal work" problem in wage differential decomposition. However, Brown method also results in another "index number" problem, which together with the original "index number" problem of Oaxaca-Blinder method, "du- al index number" problem arises in the mean decomposition of wage differential. Based on Neumark's idea of solving "index number" problem, Appleton (1990) proposed a method to dealing with the "dual index number" problem. Interpreting Neumark's idea from another perspective, this paper deals with the "dual index number" problem by ameliorating non-discriminatory occupation attainment struc- ture and non-discriminatory wage structure, thereby to obtain the wage discrimina- tion more accurately in the context of occupational segregation.
