辽宁镁橄榄岩为早元宙辽东裂谷内蛇绿岩套的一个组成部分—超基性镁橄榄岩,为硼矿的主要母岩,硼矿开采的废弃物。在辽宁省该矿种为首次提出,并确定具有工业应用价值,而且是优质的耐火材料,其特征是接近中性的弱碱性,专题测试耐火度大于1 770℃。

Liaoning magnesium peridotite is the component of early Proterozoic ophiolite suite in the Liaodong rift,ultrabasic magnesium peridotites,it is main parent rock for boron rock,boron mining waste.The mineral is proposed for the first time in Liaoning Province,and has industrial application value.It is also high-quality refractory materials,its characteristic is alkalescent closing to neutral,by special test,its refractory degree is higher than 1770 ℃.
